Who we are
McArthur Infosec ("we", "us") is the trading name of Scott McArthur, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We are the controller of personal data submitted through this website. Contact: scott@mcarthurinfosec.com.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, organisation, phone number (optional) and message.
- Resource downloads: your name, email address and organisation.
- Discovery call bookings: the details you provide through the booking tool.
How we use it and our lawful basis
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, send the resource you requested and, where relevant, discuss our services with you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. We will only send you marketing emails, such as occasional security tips and updates, if you have ticked the box to receive them. You can opt out at any time by replying to any email or contacting us, and we will stop straight away.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, our form provider, and delivered to our email. Discovery call bookings are handled by Calendly, which processes the details you enter when booking. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for up to 24 months unless we go on to work together, in which case it is kept for the duration of the relationship and as required for legal and accounting purposes.
Cookies
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and sets no cookies of its own. The booking calendar on our contact page is provided by Calendly and only loads if you click "Show booking calendar". Calendly may then set cookies needed for the calendar to work; see Calendly's own privacy and cookie policies for details.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email scott@mcarthurinfosec.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
